What are you up to now?
I am currently in my last year of the Nursing Program at Monroe community College and am also working in Unity Hospital in the Emergency Department as a patient care tech.

How did you get involved with Liberty Partnerships?
I had a friend that was a part of the program and she told me it was really great and I should join. I ended up going with her to one of the meetings and was very interested and signed up immediately.

What are some of your favorite activities/programs that you did through Liberty Partnerships?
One of the activities I enjoyed the most was going to NYC on a college tour. It was an amazing opportunity to get to know about more colleges and what they had to offer. Additionally, we were able to bond as a group as we went to restaurants and a Broadway show.

Describe how Liberty partnerships shaped your life both in and out of classroom?
Liberty Partnership provided me with the training to build so many skills that have helped me be successful throughout my educational journey as well as my personal life. They showed us how to be responsible and organized, they also showed us how to search for useful resources

What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of being a first generation college student in a Latino household! and also being the first Registered Nurse in the family!

What advice do you have for current students?
My advice for current students is that you are capable of anything you put your mind to. No matter how hard it may seem or how little resources there seems to be, there is always a way!
