SUNY Canton Liberty Partnerships Program Alumni

I graduated in 2015 from Morristown Central as the Salutatorian

I recently graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy. Currently, I’m a DSP at United Helpers. I’m also enrolled in University at Buffalo School of Social Work Online Part Time degree program, Class of 2022, to earn my masters in social work.

In high school, I became involved with the Liberty Partnership Program through my friends. They were all involved with the program and as a result I joined as well.

During my time with LPP I loved going to the local colleges and learn what amazing degree programs that they had to offer. We often went to SUNY Potsdam, which influenced my decision to go to Potsdam.

Liberty Partnership Program influenced my life by allowing me to become involved with my community at a young age. I learned what it was like to fill out a resume, go through mock job and college interviews, giving me the skills to succeed.

I’m most proud of my academic success; I was able to graduate the top of my class from Morristown, graduated with honors from my undergraduate degree program, and obtain admission to an extremely prestigious masters program.

Advice wise, I would say it’s the little things that matter; if you succeed in high school, then you can go to college. If you go to college and make connections, there’s absolutely no reason for you to not succeed.
