What did you get out of your time with LPP?

What I got from LPP was diversity among the students and staff that helped tutor us. While we all came from many different backgrounds we all still had many similarities, especially among the students. It was a very laid back environment that allowed us to be ourselves, while also stressing to us all that education was and is very important. It gave us the opportunity to learn different study styles and techniques that fit our specific learning styles. We also had the opportunity to go on college visits and see what actual campus life would be like when we attended college.

What are you up to now?

Currently I am employed by the Department of the Army as a Logistics Management Specialist. In that position I plan, direct, and coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service, and planning services, manage logistics personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operations.  I am also a SGT(P) in the US Army and have been since I graduated from Bryant & Stratton in 2003. February will make 10 years since I joined the Army. I have served two separate tours in Iraq; 2004 and again in 2008.  With another LPP alumnus, LaToya Allen, I run a non-profit organization called Precious Lily and Brotherhood Foundation that offers mentoring and tutoring for young men and women within the community in order to help develop them into the leaders of tomorrow.
